Welcome to the fourth Audio Issue of the SHAPE Journal, a special edition published to mark the centenary of Lenin's death, and to look for new ways forward for both Marxism and Science.

The latest set of tapes from Jim Schofield presents something of a challenge to contemporary Marxists. It re-examines Lenin's work, his largely forgotten contributions to scientific theory, and a period of political and philosophical stagnation for Marxism, that is now 100 years long.

How can we reinvigorate Marxism through rehabilitating Lenin's legacy and continuing his research? Schofield tries to answer this question, while also demonstrating how many key thinkers on the Left today - from David Harvey and Richard Wolff to George Galloway - conveniently ignore it, and the growing need to understand and instigate revolutionary change.
